MORGAN PARK — An armed robber targeted the same cellphone store twice last week in Morgan Park, Chicago Police said.

On both Aug. 27 and 31, the robber entered the store in the 1400 block of West 115th Street and demanded money from the register, according to a community alert issued by police in the Morgan Park Police District.

The robber — described as a 6-foot, 200-pound, 30- to 40-year-old black man— then fled in a red, two-door 2006 Pontiac Grand Am. He was wearing a baseball hat, police said.

According to an Internet search, Boost Mobile at 1484 W. 115th St. in Morgan Park is the only cellphone store on the block. Calls to the store were unanswered, and a message was not returned.

Anyone with more information about the robberies is asked to call Area South Detectives at 312-747-8273.
