CHICAGO — Don't store away your swimsuits yet, because Chicago's beach and outdoor pool season just got a little longer.

Two outdoor pools and Humboldt Park Beach remain open for three weeks longer than usual due to "community feedback and warm weather trends," Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago Park District said Friday.

The pools at Kennedy Park and Holstein Park and the Humboldt Park Beach will now remain open until Sept. 30. While indoor pools are open all year, the Chicago Park District's regular beach and outdoor pool season ends on Labor Day.

Admission to Park District pools is free, but you can cough up some extra dollars for lap swims and instructional classes.
