Englewood Shootings Wound 3 People, Police Say

CHICAGO — Shootings in Englewood have left three people, including a 14-year-old boy, wounded since Thursday, police said.

• At 1:55 a.m. Friday, a 28-year-old man was in the 6900 block of South Eggleston Avenue when he was shot in his leg, police said.

The man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The shooting might have been self-inflicted, police said.

• At 11:22 p.m. Thursday, a 27-year-old man was driving his car in the 7100 block of South Green Street when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

The man was hit in his arm and leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center. His condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 5:50 p.m., a 14-year-old boy was playing basketball in the 6700 block of South Hermitage Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The boy's stomach was grazed by a bullet, Lemmon said. His family refused treatment.

The shooter drove off in a white, four-door car, Lemmon said.

No one was in custody.
