CHICAGO — A shooting Wednesday night in West Lawn left 24-year-old Hani Yousef dead and another wounded, police said.
At 9:55 p.m., the men were in a car driving near 65th Street and South Karlov Avenue when shots were fired at them from people in a black SUV, police said. The men crashed the car in the 4100 block of West Marquette.
Yousef was hit in the chest, police said. Yousef, of Burbank, was pronounced dead at 10:19 p.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records.
A 23-year-old man had his neck grazed and was in good condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said.
The shooting might have been gang-related, police said.
No one was in custody.
