LOGAN SQUARE — Two female luchadores will be part of this year's lucha libre event in Logan Square.

For the second straight year the organizers of Unity Park will be bringing in a dozen masked wrestlers for a day of matches in the park.

The pop-up ring in Unity Park, 2636 N. Kimball Ave., will host five matches Saturday afternoon including one tag team matchup.

The lucha libre event, a type of wrestling with origins in Mexico, attracted hundreds of people to the park during last year's matches.

This year's event will run from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and during intermission will include ring safety and wrestling technique demonstrations for kids.

The participating luchadores include The French Cactus, Dos Domino Cara, Invictus, Kidd foxXx, Willie Da Bomb, Mike Strong, The Misfit Roxxi, Demeter the She-Cat, Bazooka, Bandolero, Skyde Jr and Gringo Loco.

The Unity Park Advisory Council will be hosting a raffle with autographed photos of wrestling superstars, hand-made lucha libre masks and lucha libre T-shirts during the event.
