LOGAN SQUARE — The owners of Furious Spoon are officially taking over the Two Way Lounge.
The owners of the ramen spot, which opened its second location in Logan Square this year, announced Tuesday they are taking over the former dive bar.
The Furious Spoon partners are teaming up with mixologist Dustin Drankiewicz of the West Loop's Moneygun on the new bar in the old Two Way space, 2412 N. Milwaukee Ave.
The former dive bar had been in operation for 51 years and was one of the neighborhood's longest running late-night bars.
Two Way owner Glenn Miller, who took over the bar from his mother, decided to sell the bar after one of the bar's original customers passed away, according to the new ownership.
The new project will be called Deadbolt and will feature cocktails with made in-house mixers, and a "modern, comfortable vibe," according to the new owners.
They also plan to host live music on a bandstand.
Deadbolt is on schedule to open this winter.
