CHICAGO — A 35-year-old woman was fatally shot during an argument with a man in Roseland early Monday, according to police.

Police responding to calls of a person shot in the 100 block of West 112th Place at 12:30 a.m. Monday found the woman, police said.

She had been shot in her head and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

The woman has been identified as 35-year-old Otha M. Mooney, who lived in the same block she was killed, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

The shooting is believed to have stemmed from a domestic fight with a 43-year-old man, who was arrested on the scene, police said. A gun was recovered and charges are pending against the man, police said.
