More Armed Robberies Are Happening At Englewood Businesses, Police Say

ENGLEWOOD — There has been an increase in reported armed robberies in the Englewood area, Chicago Police said.

The business community should be on alert, police said, after two recent robberies where the businesses were robbed at gunpoint.

The robberies happened at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 6 in the 7200 block of South Wentworth Avenue and at 12:55 p.m. Aug. 12 in the 7400 block of South Vincennes Avenue. 

The three suspected robbers were described by police as black men between the ages of 18-35 years old. The men's height ranges from 5'9"-6'0" and they weigh between 150-230 pounds, according to police.
