CHICAGO — It'll be a warm, mostly sunny week in Chicago.

The week will start off "pretty and humid," said AccuWeather meteorologist Dave Samuhel, but things should cool down by the end of the week. The only storms Chicago is expected to see could happen Tuesday afternoon.

Monday will be partly sunny and muggy with a high of 85 degrees, Samuhel said. Tuesday will be similar, but several showers and thunderstorms could hit in the afternoon and last into Wednesday morning. The storms shouldn't be severe, Samuhel said, but people should keep an eye on them.

Wednesday should dry out by the afternoon and will be cooler with a high temperature of 78 degrees, Samuhel said. We'll see a "big drop" in the humidity.

Thursday and Friday will be nice with lots of sunshine and cool temperatures, Samuhel said. High temperatures should hit 77 degrees and the nights could see temperatures fall to 60 degrees.

"Comfortable days, cool nights," Samuhel said. "It should feel great out there for outdoor activities."
