
UPTOWN — The Green Party's candidate for president, Dr. Jill Stein, will host her Chicago rally in Uptown next month.
From 7-9 p.m. on Sept. 8, Stein will rally voters at the Peoples Church of Chicago, 941 W. Lawrence Ave., according to the Illinois Green Party, which is hosting the rally.
Stein was born in Chicago and raised in Highland Park. She graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, according to her website.
In 2002, Stein began her career in electoral politics by running against Mitt Romney for governor of Massachusetts. In 2006, she received more than 350,000 votes in her run for secretary of state. She was also the Green Party's candidate for president in 2012, according to her website.
