Hospital To Host Back-To-School Health Fair

NORWOOD PARK — Resurrection Medical Center will host a health fair to help children start off the school year on the right foot, organizers said.

The Children's Fit and Fun Fair will take place from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at Resurrection Medical Center, 7435 W. Talcott Ave., organizers said. It is co-sponsored by Ald. Anthony Napolitano (41st).

The fair will feature activities for children, including an obstacle course, parachute games as well as soccer and hoops challenges, organizers said. In addition, doctors will be on hand to answer questions, and nutrition and fitness trivia games will take place.

The Norwood Park Fire Department, which serves suburban Chicago, will host a fire safety trailer, organizers said.

The fair will offer health information as well as vision, hearing and body mass index screenings, organizers said.

A food drive will also take place, organizers said.

One-shoulder bags, bicycle lights and bicycle helmets will also be available at the fair, organizers said.
