NORTH LAWNDALE — A 37-year-old man was found dead in North Lawndale with a gunshot wound in his head Tuesday night, police said.

At 9:40 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 3900 block of West 14th Street, according to a police incident report.

When officers arrived, they found the man unconscious in an alley with a gunshot wound in his head, police said.

The man was pronounced dead on scene, police said.

He has been been identified as Johnell Johnson of the 2900 block of West Augusta Boulevard, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No one is in custody, police said.
