MORGAN PARK — A burglar released on parole was arrested again Tuesday for a residential burglary in Morgan Park, police said.

Joshua Wilkins, 37, was identified as the person who burglarized a residence in the 2500 block of West 117th Place in Morgan Park. He is being charged with felony burglary, police said.

Wilkins, of the 4300 block of South Ellis Avenue in Kenwood, was previously convicted of residential burglary in 2013, Ald. Matt O'Shea (19th) said in an email to constituents Wednesday afternoon.

Wilkins was sentenced to six years in prison for the burglary but was paroled April 28 after serving three years, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

"Moving forward, I will work closely with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office to seek justice in this matter," O'Shea said. "Working together, we can keep our neighborhood safe."
