WICKER PARK — A luxury apartment building is leasing out the first of its just-completed dwellings, and monthly rents start at $2,050 for a one-bedroom and max out at $4,650 for the priciest three-bedroom in the pet-friendly building, just west of the Kennedy Expressway.

"Residents are already moved in and leasing incentives and offers are attractive now," said a spokeswoman for Jameson Sotheby's International Realty, which is marketing the building at 1545 W. North Ave.

Located along the border of Noble Square and Wicker Park and neighbored by a Shell Gas Station that could eventually become a hotel and a forthcoming Audi dealership, the 30 apartments in the five-story building range from 675 to 1,500 square feet and feature floor-to-ceiling windows and tall ceilings.

All of the apartments are finished with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and wide plank vinyl wood floors, according to a news release. All but two units include a private outdoor terrace and a number of the upper-floor apartments offer views of Downtown.

Dogs up to 80 pounds are also allowed in the building, the spokeswoman said.

Units on the second floor were available for lease as of July 20, and the upper levels will be opening in phases in the forthcoming months.

The building has 30 parking spaces which cost $200 per month to rent.

There are two retail storefronts on the ground floor. The spokeswoman said that the ground-floor spots have not yet been rented. The building's developer is Sedgwick Properties, which recently built a luxury condo building at 1611 N. Hermitage Ave., a few block from the new apartments.

Interested renters who want to tour the building can call its leasing manager Amy Pritchard at 312-857-8508.
