LOGAN SQUARE — Logan Square is for lovers, apparently.

According to one recent dataset, the neighborhood is the most "chivalrous," with its residents spending the most money on flowers over the last two years compared to other ZIP codes throughout the Chicago area.

The study was based on data provided by 1-800Flowers subsidiary Florists.com, which found that Logan Square residents spent $2,469 total on flowers over the two-year period through that site.

"If your sweetheart lives in Logan Square, then lucky you! If not, you know where to go if you’re yearning for someone that goes the extra mile," the study by RentHop.com proclaimed.

The only other ZIP codes that made the top five list were Naperville, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines and Lakeview.

Although Logan Square residents were the biggest buyers when it came to sending flowers, its residents didn't crack the top five list of total flowers received.

Residents of the Near North ZIP code of 60611 received $2,760 total in flowers during the study period from July 2014 through July 2016.

The rest of the top five receivers include Barrington, Park Ridge, Oak Lawn and The Loop, coming in in fifth place with $2,120 worth of flowers.

The first ZIP codes with the largest average dollar amount per order all fell outside the city limits with Glenwood and Glencoe taking the top spots.
