Garfield Park Shooting Wounds Man, 22, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Garfield Park left a 22-year-old man wounded on Tuesday, police said.

At 2 p.m., the man was a passenger in a car driving in the 0-100 block of South Keeler Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was hit in his leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital, Sweeney said. He was in fair condition.

No one was in custody.
