ROGERS PARK — Three people, including a 16-year-old boy, were among the victims of gun violence in the Far North Side over the weekend.

The most recent shooting happened Sunday at 3:13 a.m. when a 37-year-old man was shot in his left hand in the 1700 block of West Greenleaf Avenue, police said.

The man was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

Saturday at 11:45 p.m., a 27-year-old woman was arguing with her boyfriend in the 1500 block of West Jonquil Terrace when the man pulled out a gun and shot her in her left arm, according to a police incident report.

The woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where her condition was listed as "stable," police said.

Just before that, around 10:30 p.m., police responded to a call in Edgewater in which a 16-year-old boy was shot multiple times in the 6200 block of North Hermitage Avenue.

The boy was walking on the sidewalk when he was approached by two men who shot him, police said.

On Monday, Ald. Patrick O'Connor (40th) said Rogers Park District police told him four people were standing at the corner of Thome and Hermitage Avenues when they were approached by the shooter and another person.

The shooter displayed a hand gun and shot the 16-year-old victim in his back and leg, O'Connor said.

He was taken to St. Francis in Evanston in critical condition, O'Connor said.
