NORTH LAWNDALE — The Chicago Westside Music Festival will welcome top music acts and local talent to North Lawndale Saturday — all for free.
The family-friendly fun starts at noon with Ald. Michael Scott Jr.'s 24th Ward end of summer celebration and the Westside Music Festival kicks off at 4 p.m. at Douglas Park, 1401 S. Sacramento Drive.
Grammy-nominated R&B singer Kelly Price, legendary rapper Slick Rick and hip hop pioneer MC Lyte are all slated to headline the fifth annual fest. Che "Rhymefest" Smith is also expected to make an appearance.
This year's festival is presented by BMO Harris Bank and produced by the alderman and his wife, Natashee Scott.
