CHICAGO — A shooting Wednesday night in Roseland left a 28-year-old man dead, police said.

At 11:50 p.m., officers responding to a call of a person down found the man lying on the sidewalk in the 10500 block of South Wentworth Avenue, police said. The man had been shot in his head.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the man as Chavrone Finley, of the same block.

No one was in custody.
