By Kelly Bauer | August 18, 2016 2:54pm

CHICAGO — A 26-year-old man was shot and wounded in Austin on Thursday, police said.

At 9:07 a.m., the man was walking outside in the 400 block of North Laramie when a white, four-sedan pulled alongside him, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. A man got out of the car and opened fire on the victim.

The victim was hit in his right arm. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," Amezaga said.

The shooter got into the car and drove off, Amezaga said.

No one was in custody.
