JEFFERSON PARK — A rummage sale Saturday will raise money for Prussing Elementary School, organizers said.
The sale, hosted by the Prussing Parent-Teacher Organization, will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the school, 4650 N. Menard Ave.
The proceeds from the event will buy planners for the Jefferson Park school's students, said group co-president Michelle Netterstrom.
Any leftover money will be used to create huge student-crafted mosaics above the school's doorways; to hang flags in the school's hallways and create a mural in the cafeteria featuring the many languages of spoken by Prussing's students, Netterstrom said.
The sale will feature housewares, book, furniture, clothes, tools, toys and bicycles, organizers said.
Items can be donated to the sale through Thursday, organizers said.
