UPTOWN — A 13-year-old girl was struck by car while crossing the street in Uptown Saturday afternoon.

Around 1:22 p.m., the girl was in a crosswalk in the 4500 block of North Sheridan Road when she was struck by the driver, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

The driver was attempting to turn left and head north on Sheridan Road when his view was obstructed by a bus, said Estrada.

The girl was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital in good condition, Estrada said. She suffered a laceration to the lip and hip injuries, according to ABC7

No citations were issued in the incident.
