Chavaris Guider, 33, Dies After Garfield Park Shooting, Police Say

WEST GARFIELD PARK — A 33-year-old man died hours after being shot in his head in West Garfield Park on Monday, police said.

Around 4 a.m., the man was in the 0-100 block of North Kilbourn Avenue when he was shot, police said. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

He was pronounced dead at 10:31 a.m. Monday morning, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

He was identified as Chavaris Guider, of the 1700 block of North Parkside Avenue.
