By Kelly Bauer | August 13, 2016 9:10am | Updated on August 15, 2016 8:24am

CHICAGO — A shooting in Edgewater left a 24-year-old man wounded early Saturday, police said.

At 5 a.m., the man was on the sidewalk in the 6000 block of North Sheridan Road when a white, four-door car pulled alongside him and someone inside shot at him, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was hit in his right shoulder. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," Estrada said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

The car with the shooter drove off, Estrada said.

No one was in custody.
