Here is our list of seven things to do this weekend in the neighborhoods:

The magazine's founder Karen Hawkins, a former AP reporter, will be joined by contributors Rachel Berg Scherer, Lisa Farver, Molly Harris and "Uppity-Negro columnist" Princess McDowell for the discussion. After the discussion, the party will move to the Brixton, 5420 N. Clark St. 7:30 p.m. Friday. Women and Children First, 5233 N. Clark St. Free.

Second Fridays on Argyle Street: This month Second Fridays on Argyle Street will showcase multiple pho dishes from Pho Loan. The monthly event, which is organized by Axis Lab and the 48th Ward, not only showcases food at a local business, but also hopes to bring the community together to promote safety over a meal.
