UPTOWN — Josiah Jindrich will return for his second exhibit at Everybody's Coffee next week.

From 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 23, the coffee shop at 935 W. Wilson Ave. will host an opening reception for the international photographer, who was born and raised in Chicago, according to a news release for the exhibit. (The opening was originally scheduled for Aug. 18, but was recently rescheduled.)

"Josiah puts himself right in the middle of the action — whether a skateboard park in Denmark or a football pitch in Italy," the release said. "He’s traveled to the slums of Cape Town and hiked the fjords of Norway. He takes a keen interest in locals, continuing to show how people and places impact one another, bringing us closer into their everyday life."

While Jindrich's first show focused on his photographs from across the world, this exhibit will focus on Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, which he traveled to to work on the fisheries and the Aleutian fishing boats in 2015.

The exhibit will be showcased at Everybody's Coffee until Sept. 25.
