GARFIELD RIDGE — The boys are back in town, and now it's time to celebrate.

There will be a neighborhood rally Saturday at Clear Ridge Baseball's home field — Hale Park, 6258 W. 62nd St. — to celebrate the team's Senior League World Series Title.

On Aug. 6, in a title game broadcast on ESPN2 from Bangor, Maine, Clear Ridge beat Australia 7-2, marking the first time a team from Illinois has won the Senior League World Series in its 55-year history.

The rally begins at noon. Clear Ridge little league players are encouraged to wear their jerseys to the celebrations.

Clear Ridge Championship T-shirts will be on a sale at Hale Park's concession stand on Friday from 7-8 p.m. for $15. Shirts will also be available at the rally on Saturday.

After the rally, a DJ will play music from 1-3 p.m.

The concession stand will be stocked with pizza, hot dogs, water and pop.
