Police Buy Pool For 6-Year-Old Girl Shot In Englewood

CHICAGO — Police are helping 6-year-old Tacarra Morgan have fun while recovering from a gunshot wound she suffered earlier this summer.

Morgan was outside her family's home when shots rang out on the street nearby. The girl was hit in her side and was seriously wounded, but she recovered and has returned home.

The Area South Gang Unit raised money to buy Morgan a pool, which they were able to install at her home Thursday.

Arther Morris, Tacarra's grandfather, said police got her a pool when she was in the hospital and she was going to learn how to swim in it.
