CHICAGO — A man shot to death in Auburn Gresham early Thursday morning has been identified by officials as 50-year-old Winston Delay.

Two other men were also wounded in the shooting, police said.

At 1:55 a.m., the three were driving in the 8000 block of South Marshfield Avenue when they stopped at a stop sign, police said. A man walked up to them and fired shots at the car.

Delay was hit in the back and forearm and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Delay lived in the 8100 block of South Justine Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

A 59-year-old woman was hit in the back and hip and a 33-year-old man was hit in the right forearm. They were taken to Stroger Hospital, where their condition was not available but they were listed as "stable," police said.

The shooter ran away, police said.

No one was in custody.
