By Kelly Bauer | August 9, 2016 4:42pm

CHICAGO — Two teenagers were shot and wounded in North Lawndale on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

At 12:16 p.m., the two were standing on the sidewalk in the 600 block of South California Avenue when a gray car drove up and someone inside fired shots and drove off, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A 16-year-old boy was hit in his chest, back and hip. His condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," Tannehill said. A 17-year-old was hit in his left index finger and left buttock and was in good condition. They took themselves to Mount Sinai Hospital.

No one was in custody.
