Erik Williams, 27, Shot To Death In Englewood, Police Say

ENGLEWOOD — A 27-year-old man died hours after being shot in Englewood on Monday night, police said.

At 10:18 p.m, the man was standing on a front porch in the 1800 block of West 58th Street when someone shot at him from a passing gray sedan, according to a police incident report.

The man was brought to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition with gunshot wounds in his side, police said. He was later pronounced dead.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Erik Williams, of the 1200 block of West 71st Place.

No one is in custody, police said.
