Red Line Stabbing Critically Wounds Man, 36, Police Say

CHICAGO — A stabbing on the Red Line near the Roosevelt Station Wednesday night critically wounded a 36-year-old man, police said.

At 10 p.m., the man, who was homeless, was riding on the train when he got into an argument with another man, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The other man, who was also homeless, took out a knife and stabbed the victim.

The victim was stabbed in the chest and left arm. He was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, Amezaga said.
