ASHBURN — A 51-year-old man died after being stabbed on the Southwest Side early Wednesday morning, police said.

Around 6:30 a.m., the man was stabbed multiple times in his upper body in the 3900 block of West 85th Street, according to Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The man was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Amezaga said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Michael Montgomery, of the same block.

A man was arrested and brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation, police said.

Police said the stabbing appeared to be domestic-related.
