THE LOOP — It'll be a hot and humid week for Chicago.

Tuesday is expected to be "pretty nice," said AccuWeather meteorologist Paul Walker, but it will peak at 87 degrees — warmer than usual high of 83. And though it will fall to 71 degrees, it will be a "warm and humid night," Walker said.

Wednesday will be even warmer with a high of 88 degrees, and there will be a threat of rain or thunderstorms throughout the entire day, Walker said. Even if it does rain, the storm shouldn't be severe, Walker said.

The rest of the week will be hot and humid, with Thursday hitting 90 degrees, Walker said. There's a chance for more rain and thunderstorms late Thursday heading into Friday morning.

"Each day is several degrees above normal," Walker said.
