LAKEVIEW — Fresh off of a few appearances at Lollapalooza this weekend, Chance The Rapper announced he'll headline his own show tonight at the Metro in Lakeview, but tickets sold out almost immediately.

The Chatham-born rapper announced on Twitter the surprise performance, set for 10 p.m. tonight at the Metro, 3730 N. Clark St.

Tickets for the show could only be purchased at the Metro's box office, according to Chance and the venue. There was a limit of two tickets per purchase, and the venue accepted cash only.

Despite the physical limitations to the sale, tickets went quickly and were sold out just an hour-plus after they were announced Sunday morning, according to Metro.

Tickets for the show retailed for $40, but are already going for much more than that on Craigslist. One seller is hoping to get $125 for a pair to tonight's show.

The superstar MC from Chatham shocked Lolla-goers Thursday night when he and new Chicago Bull Dwyane Wade stepped out on the stage during a set by Chicago DJ group Flosstradamus.

Chance later joined up with Atlanta rap star Future at Lollapalooza Saturday to perform his hit song "No Problems."

The South Side rapper will also be headlining the first concert at U.S. Cellular Field in more than a decade when he brings a hip-hop heavy music festival of his own to Sox Park.
