GRANT PARK — Lollapalooza is turning 25, and for the first time, guests can enjoy grown-up drinks.
The MIx'd Up Craft Cocktail Bar near Buckingham Fountain is a new addition to the festival this year. The bar, supplied by Breakthru Beverage Group, is serving 10 different cocktails giving Lolla-goers more options than $9 Bud Light cans.
"We're trying to bring fresh cocktails to the public in a speedy kind of way," Johnny Costello, a beverage development specialist at Breakthru, said.

The bar will be open from noon to 10 p.m. every day, and Costello says it can serve about 8,000 drinks — maybe more — daily. An offsite juicer is bringing fresh-squeezed juice every day, and about 40 bartenders are working all day to serve the masses.
The bar is tucked in a grassy shaded corner just southeast of the fountain, and guests will have to keep their cocktails there. But music from the Lakeshore stage isn't far, and mixed drinks offer a nice respite from Missouri-style lager.
