CANARYVILLE — Registration for the Canaryville Lions is now open.

The team is looking for kids between ages 8-14. Once players are signed up, coaches will put them through two hours of practice each weekday in August, plus scrimmages and weekend games.

Players from any neighborhood in the city can join.

Registration costs $125 for each child and all of the equipment is provided, except for jock straps, protective cups and spikes.

The season gets underway with the first practice, scheduled for 5 p.m. Aug. 1 at 4452 S. Emerald Ave.
