Englewood Shooting Kills Man, 32, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 32-year-old man was shot and killed in Englewood on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

At 1:29 p.m., the man was a passenger in a car driving in the 2000 block of West 68th Place when someone on foot fired shots at him, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was hit multiple times, including in his neck, and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Quaid said. The man was later pronounced dead, police said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody.
