• At 2:03 a.m. Wednesday, a 23-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 3800 block of West Chicago Avenue when two men walked up and shot at him, according to a preliminary police incident report.

The man was brought to an area hospital with gunshot wounds in his right arm, left leg and right side, police said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

• At 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, about a half-mile away in the 3700 block of West Ferdinand Street, officers responded to a call of shots fired and found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his left leg.
