LOGAN SQUARE — Logan Square's newest bar, Estereo, was packed throughout the day Monday on its first day in business.

The cocktail bar by night and coffee shop by morning is centered around a large triangular shaped bar that takes the form of its location at the corner of Milwaukee and Sacramento avenues.

The bar, 2450 N. Milwaukee Ave., has a 10-drink cocktail list posted prominently on the back wall that focuses on Latin American spirits.

Some of the drinks include pisco with rhubarb, Americano and pina bitters, tequila with pear, bianco, allspice and lime and mezcal with watermelon, lime and chili salt.

There's even a vending machine stocked with items such as bottles of Jarritos and packaged Mexican snacks.

The cocktails rang from $8 to $12. Victoria beer is also available for $4.

Heisler Hospitality, a group which includes Sportsman's Club, Lone Wolf, Bar DeVille and Pub Royale among others, is the group behind Estereo.

Two of the bar's three walls consist of large garage doors that open, giving the space a breezy feel similar to an outdoor cafe when the weather cooperates.

Estereo opens daily at 11 a.m. and will serve Dark Matter coffee as well as a selection of pastries each morning.
