ARMOUR SQUARE — In celebration of Negro Leagues baseball in Chicago, the White Sox will host their annual Double Duty Classic at U.S. Cellular Field on Tuesday.
The daylong event at 333 W. 35th St., is set for a 10 a.m. start, featuring the best inner-city high school players dressed in retro East-West All-Star uniforms.
Those uniforms honor past Negro Leaguers and those who played in the historic all-star game at Old Comiskey Park.
The event gets its name after Ted "Double Duty" Radcliffe, who played for the Chicago American Giants of the Negro Leagues. Radcliffe, who died in 2005, got his nickname "Double Duty" because he regularly pitched the first game of doubleheaders and played catcher the second game.
Admission is free, and free parking will be available in Lot B of U.S. Cellular Field. The game will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

11:30 a.m. — Pregame entertainment at Gate 5
Noon — Gates open
12:30 p.m. — Pregame ceremony begins
1:05 p.m. — Game begins
