THE LOOP — Wabash Avenue will close to traffic between Madison and Monroe streets Thursday as work continues on the new Washington-Wabash CTA station, Chicago Department of Transportation officials said.

The closure will go into effect at 6:30 a.m. Thursday and remain for about 10 weeks, officials said.

Traffic will be maintained on Madison Street, and businesses and residents will still have full access to their buildings along Wabash, including valet and loading service.

The work is projected to be completed sometime this fall.
