EDGEWATER — A Loyola student had her cell phone stolen Wednesday night by an armed robber near the school's Lake Shore campus, according to police.
Around 8:30 p.m., the student was walking near Magnolia and Arthur avenues when a man with a gun demanded her cell phone.
The robber was described as a man between 18 and 22 years old last seen wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt with stripes.
The man fled the scene after taking the phone, and the student was not injured, police said.
