CHICAGO — You can expect a comfortable summer weekend: It'll be dry and (mostly) rain-free Friday to Sunday.

Friday will be cooler with temperatures hanging around the mid-70s, said AccuWeather meteorologist Tom Kines. The day will be cloudy, but there will be several hours of sunshine and humidity will drop, Kines said.

There could be a shower on Friday, but Kines said most of the city should stay dry.

It will be a "fairly comfortable day," Kines said.

Saturday will be a little warmer with a high temperature near 80 degrees, but humidity will still be lower and the day will be sunnier, Kines said.

"Probably the best day is going to be Saturday," Kines said. "Saturday's the sunniest of the next three days. Temperature-wise, [it will be] pretty comfortable ... and humidity is still low. I think, considering all those factors, Saturday's probably the best day."

Humidity will rise again on Sunday, and the day will be cloudy with potential showers and thunderstorms. People will notice a difference between Saturday and Sunday, Kines said, but it won't be too bad.

"I don't think it's oppressive yet," Kines said of the humidity and heat. Sunday will have a "typical summer day feel to it."
