ENGLEWOOD — Mingle with Englewood residents while supporting a black-owned business Friday at the Englewood Happy Hour/Money Mob.

Culture Connection, 400 W. 71st St. is the site of the event from 6-9 p.m. The store sells hair and skin products, oils, books and cultural art work.

Since February, the Englewood Happy Hour Host Committee has hosted events every third Friday of the month at a black-owned Englewood business.

The Resident Association of Greater Englewood posted on its website: "Let’s start protesting with our Black Dollars. ... Let’s change the direction in which we spend our money back toward our community."
