EDISON PARK — Residents of Edison Park, Norwood Park and O'Hare will get their trash and recyclables picked up on a new schedule, Ald. Anthony Napolitano (38th) said.

The changes will go into effect July 18, Napolitano said.

Areas of Norwood Park and Edgebrook east of Nagle Avenue and west of the Edens Expressway as well as south of Touhy Avenue and north of Devon Avenue get their garbage hauled away on Wednesdays, Napolitano said.

The area of the 41st Ward south of the Kennedy Expressway between Harlem Avenue on the west and Talcott Avenue and Rutherford Avenue on the east will get their garbage hauled away on Tuesdays.

Trash pickup will occur in the rest of the 41st Ward on Mondays.

Homes that put their blue recycling carts out front on the curb will have their recycling hauled away on the same day as their garbage collection, Napolitano said.

However, homes whose recycling carts are picked up in the alley should leave their blue carts in the alley during the entire service week to ensure collection, Sposato said.
