UPTOWN — Uptown is now home to an arcade league.

League Night, a weekly event that brings gamers across the city together, will add Uptown Arcade, 4830 N. Broadway, to its roster of locations, which already includes Logan Arcade, according to a press release from organizers.

The league in Uptown will meet Mondays at 8 p.m. beginning July 11.

"Players are encouraged to come alone, with friends, or with a team," the release said.

The league will focus on Killer Queen Arcade, a rare 10-player arcade game, that pits teams of five as warring hives, battling for resources and territory. It's described as a cross between Super Mario Brothers, Joust and Starfox, the release said.

League Night will continue on Wednesdays at Logan Arcade, 2410 W. Fullerton Ave., with the hope of connecting and growing the Killer Queen Community.
