LOGAN SQUARE — One of the most highly anticipated pizza openings this year is happening Thursday.

Paulie Gee's, the Brooklyn import that's known for wood-fired pizzas, debuts Thursday in Logan Square.

The restaurant, 2451 N. Milwaukee Ave., is the first Chicago location of what is slowly becoming a mini-chain with spots in Greenpoint and Brooklyn in New York City; Columbus, Ohio; Baltimore and upcoming locations in Miami and a second in Brooklyn.

Paul Biasco is excited about a new pizza around the block.

Pizzas will be cooked in the Logan Square restaurant's two imported Italian wood-fired ovens.

Paulie Gee's will be open for dinner six nights a week, and will be closed on Tuesdays.
