
JEFFERSON PARK — Two cars were towed and 97 tickets were issued during a crackdown on drunken driving Friday night into Saturday morning, police said.
Police from the Jefferson Park (16th) Police District conducted a DUI Strike Force patrol from 7 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday on the Far Northwest Side.
No arrests for drunken driving were made during the crackdown.
In all, 21 citations were issued for unsafe vehicles, 16 people were cited for not having car insurance, six people for not wearing a seat belt and four for driver's license violations.
Another 50 traffic citations were issued, police said.
