The two were standing outside in the 3800 block of West Augusta Boulevard at about 5 p.m. when an attacker walked up and began firing, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The 23-year-old was struck in his leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, Sweeney said. The 30-year-old was struck in both legs and was also taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, he said.

The 30-year-old is a documented gang member, police said.
